Orca (1972), oil on canvas, 108 x 216 inches. Installed in the North Hall of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, 225 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, NY.
Orca (1972), the largest work from a suite of monumental paintings and drawings completed in the early 1970s, is on permanent display and installed in the North Hall of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, in Brooklyn. In this pivotal painting within the artist’s oeuvre, Kramer employs the dynamics and forces of geometry. He strives to capture the power of the mammal through this geometric formation. Kramer restricts his vocabulary to angles and uses only black and white as a way to focus on this composition. Moreover, the forms are human scale and relate to the size of a person of average height.

Untitled (1976), silkscreen poster, 32 x 42 inches, edition of 50.
This silkscreen edition was commissioned by the Hudson River Museum and printed in collaboration with the New York Institute of Technology.
