Abstract painters Harry Kramer and Cynthia Hawkins reconnect in a 2023 YouTube talk, reflecting on their practices since the early 1970s. Reintroduced by mutual friend Carter Cue, a librarian and researcher in Durham, NC, Hawkins first studied painting at Queens College during Kramer’s tenure nearly 50 years ago.
